I hope you get chance to read the two wonderful 2018 inspection reports under the School information tab. They clearly explain why every child at Elworth gets a fantastic start to their education. I am extremely proud of the team of staff who have worked tirelessly to improve learning opportunities for all and to the children who are simply the best in the world!  I am looking forward to the next exciting chapter of the Elworth story. Why don’t you join us?

Mr Neil Garrat (Headteacher)

  Starting School in September 2019?

Please come and visit us, and bring your little one along to one or more of our Open Events as you look for the best environment for them to begin their School journey in the Reception Intake of 2019.

Thursday 25 October

  • Open Morning,   9:15 – 11:00
  • Open Afternoon,   1:15 – 3:00

During these two events there will be a short presentation about our school given by Mr Garratt, our Headteacher.  There will then be the opportunity to take a tour around the school with someone from the Senior Leadership Team.  Throughout the school, various areas of the curriculum will be showcased, including PE, Choir, Art and core subjects like Maths and English.

  • Please park on the Church car park opposite school as the school gates are locked at certain times to ensure the safety of our children.  Thank you

In addition, on the following dates we will also be having three INFORMAL WALKAROUND VISITS where you will have the opportunity to look around the school.  These will be held on:

  • Friday 19 October,   10:30am
  • Monday 12 November,   10:30am
  • Tuesday 20 November,   1:30pm

Please contact Julia Haworth on 01270 685170 or email: [email protected] to book in for any of these events.  Thank you.

We look forward to welcoming you to Elworth CE Primary School

‘Love God, Love Learning, Love one another.’

Welcome to Elworth CE Primary School. I believe our school is a very special place to work and learn in. It is a very stimuIating, challenging and inclusive environment. It has a unique identity combining traditional Christian values with the skills needed for children to be successful in the modern world.

Children are at the heart of our successful school, where staff, governors and families all contribute to our vibrant learning community through support, shared knowledge, enthusiasm and mutual respect.

‘Aspire not to have more but be more’ Archbishop Romero

We value our Christian distinctiveness.  The spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of our children is our priority. I believe this adds a unique and special ingredient to our community. The school has strong links with our local parish church St. Peter’s.

I hope you enjoy looking at our website and please don’t hesitate to contact us for further information.

Mr. Neil Garratt

Welcome to Mobberley C.E. Primary School

We are a vibrant learning community with a distinctively Christian character. Our school has been a focal point for education and learning since the school began on this site in 1838. We have a proud and rich history but are very much a forward thinking and progressive school, striving to educate pupils for the modern world. Every child at Mobberley Primary School is recognised as being specially created in God’s own image. Children are celebrated and cherished here in our very special village school. Our nurturing and supportive atmosphere ensures children feel safe and grow to adopt the values of respect, tolerance and generosity. We are committed to providing a diverse range of curricular and extra-curricular opportunities to develop confident and articulate individuals. Our high expectations of work and behaviour allow pupils to achieve their full potential. I hope this site gives you some sense of what we do but to fully appreciate our school, please contact us and we would be happy to welcome you to our community.

Overall school performance (for comparison or review only)

Independent schools frequently offer IGCSEs or other qualifications alongside or as an alternative to GCSE. The DfE does not record performance data for these exams so independent school GCSE data is frequently misleading; parents should check the results with the schools.

Interpreting catchment maps

The maps show in colour where the pupils at a school came from * . Red = most pupils to Blue = fewest.

Where the map is not coloured we have no record in the previous three years of any pupils being admitted from that location based on the options chosen.

For help and explanation of our catchment maps see: Catchment maps explained

If there are more applicants to a school than it has places for, who gets in is determined by which applicants best fulfil the admissions criteria.

Admissions criteria are often complicated, and may change from year to year. The best source of information is usually the relevant local authority website, but once you have set your sights on a school it is a good idea to ask them how they see things panning out for the year that you are interested in.

Many schools admit children based on distance from the school or a fixed catchment area. For such schools, the cut-off distance will vary from year to year, especially if the school give priority to siblings, and the pattern will be of a central core with outliers (who will mostly be siblings). Schools that admit on the basis of academic or religious selection will have a much more scattered pattern.

*The coloured areas outlined in black are Census Output Areas. These are made up of a group of neighbouring postcodes, which accounts for their odd shapes. These provide an indication, but not a precise map, of the school’s catchment: always refer to local authority and school websites for precise information.

The ‘hotter’ the colour the more children have been admitted.
