Visiting Brighton at seaside
Have you already been to this famous English town?
On Friday, April 6th, we visited Brighton.
We saw the big wheel. We stopped at the Pier. Some of us went to the amusement park situated on the Pier. We did some shopping, hanging out for two hours. We went to the casino and we won the jackpot. In England we could play money games whereas in France it’s forbidden when you are under 18.

Brighton City
Looking at Beach and Pier.
What does pier mean?
In Brighton there is a pier and a long beach. At half past ten a.m we arrived on the beach. After, we saw the pier with its amusements; it was a long bridge on the sea. Pier means <<Jetée>> in French. On the pier, there were some fairground attractions with fast-food restaurants. Some of us went on one of them. They said << It was funny >>. Dream Day in Brighton

Dream Day in Brighton
“Don’t eat before going up into big dipper on Brighton pier”
On Friday, April 6th, we went to Brighton. This city is situated on the South coast of England at the seaside.
In the morning : We saw the Royal Pavilion but we didn’t visit it because it was too expensive, it’s a pity ! After that we had between two or three hours free time.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
We went to some shops and bought some presents in the souvenir shops. There are lots of them in England.

Visiting most famous university town in England

Visiting most famous university town in England
 
Do you really know Oxford? Would you like to discover it with us?
Oxford is a city situated in the west of London at about 60 miles away from the capital .We left at 7.30 a.m from Margate and we arrived at 10.30. It was a long way. The journey took us almost 3 hours.
 
The natural History Museum was big.
There was such a beautiful architecture with painted
steel arches and large windows !
Inside the museum, there were some dinosaurs.

One day in Oxford

One day in Oxford
 
Do you know the wonderful colleges in the famous university town?
 
On April 5th 2012 o’clock we crossed the countryside of Kent to go first to the Natural History Museum. We saw some skeletons of dinosaurs. We discovered a small trilobite. We noticed precious gems and prehistoric animals.

OXFORD UNIVERSITY
 
Is this famous British university town a good place to study ?
 
The morning of the April 5th 2012 we went to the Oxford Natural History Museum, There we saw a lot of dinosaurs and we went on a dinosaurs hunt, Mrs Ramey our bilogy teacher told us how they lived a long time.Then we had some free time to visit the museum alone to see the different animals and to find a trilobite.

On Wednesday , April 4in the afternoon, we visited the Royal observatory which is well-known because there is the 0° Meridian in Greenwich.
We walked though it.
It’s right in the middle of a path.
We visited the meridian building and the telescope gallery.

Wednesday, April 4th was the longest day our trip because we visited the biggest city of England, London is intwo parts, the business district = the city and the political one = Westminster, In this town, there are lots of monuments, so to be able to visit most of them, we had to walk much,

Going to London

Going to  London
Why is London a famous city ?
We drove on our bus from Margate and arrived late in the morning at Victoria Embankment. We walked very fast in the streets and we saw the Thames and the London Eye from Westminster Bridge . It was beautiful . We discovered the Houses of Parliament and famous Big Ben tower which is very large and high ! After we went to Buckingham Palace.

Walking through London
Would you like to visit the capital of England ?
 
 
London is situated in the South East of Great Britain. London is the capital and biggest city of the United Kingdom. It was built by the Romans. Its old name is Londinium.     Professor Jean-Yves Marc of the University of Strasbourg will present a lecture from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20 in the A. W. Clausen Center for World Business room 106. This lecture will focus on excavations at the Roman site of Mandeure in eastern France (the location where Carthage students will begin digging in August 2018).
